Javier and Baby Cody

This weekend, Cody and I were riding bikes together and Cody fell by accident.  Afterwards we played basketball and soccer together with my cousin.  Cody was distracted looking at cars and we were calling him to come.  My little brother Sebastian kept wanting to play with Cody, too.

I went to the fair and my big brother won four gold fish.  He gave me one and I started showing it to Cody.

On Friday, we ate tacos together.  I went to a party and Baby Cody and I started dancing.  I had so much fun with Baby Cody!

Brandon and Baby Cody

We were all very happy to see that Brandon was picked to take Baby cody home this weekend and baby cody was very excited to be going home with brandon on the bus as he would get to meet all his buddies that keeps talking about.  Mom was very happy to meet Baby Cody and while she was getting dinner ready, I got him to join me and play my with brothers.

On Saturday, I was really excited because we were going swimming and I would get to show Baby Cody all that I could do in the water. We also got to watch the professional swimmers race each other and it was fun. After our swimming lessons, we went to the mall and bought some playdoh that we could play with at home.

On Sunday, my Mom surprised us and and we went to the park in Cary. We were all excited because we would go to the lake were there were swans that that we could feed. It was a lot of fun and the swans seemed very pleased to see us especially as we had bread that we could feed them. As it got dark we had to leave but we were all tired as we had had so much fun.

Arianna and Baby Cody

Arianna was so excited when Mrs.Vines drew her name to take Baby Cody home for Halloween weekend.  Mom picked up Arianna and Baby Cody at school and took them home for a quick snack and a special surprise.  Casey and Maggie were coming to visit us and see Daddy’s Halloween decorations!  Casey and Maggie are two female bichon frises who live with Mom’s friends Joe and Beth.  Casey and Maggie even wore their Halloween costumes.  Baby Cody enjoyed meeting “the girls” and they all played outside until dark.  Arianna and Baby Cody were hungry after all their fun and ate lots of spaghetti and meatballs for dinner.  Arianna’s dog, Fred, shared his treats with Baby Cody too.  Baby Cody snuggled into Arianna’s bed for a good night’s sleep.

Saturday was Halloween.  After breakfast, Arianna and Cody played petshop for awhile.  Then Mom asked what Baby Cody was wearing for Halloween, Arianna realized he didn’t have a costume.  So Arianna and Mom made a costume for Baby Cody.  He dressed as a dog superhero with a purple cape and red antennae.  Baby Cody also borrowed a pair of Arianna’s sunglasses so he could look cool.  Afterward, Arianna and Baby Cody played outside for awhile with our neighbors Avery and McKenna.

Saturday night Arianna and Baby Cody got dressed in their costumes.  Arianna was a princess and Baby Cody put on his superhero costume.  They could hardly wait until it was dark enough to go out and start trick or treating.  Baby Cody wasn’t scared of any of the spooky decorations or costumes and he enjoyed meeting all the neighbors.  After trick or treating, Arianna and Baby Cody came back home and let Mom check their treats.  Baby Cody enjoyed a dog treat or two after a fun night.

Sunday morning Arianna and Baby Cody got up and had breakfast before going to church.  Baby Cody enjoyed getting to meet all the other kids at church, having a cupcake for snack and playing in the gym.  After church and lunch, Arianna and Baby Cody worked on decorating a shoebox for Operation Christmas Child.  They put stickers and drawings inside the box while Mom wrapped the outside.  Then Arianna and Baby Cody went shopping for toys, candy and little gifts to fill the box.  It will be neat to see where the box ends up after it’s distributed.

Jakin and Baby Cody

Jake was so excited for Baby Cody to come home with him for the long weekend.  The first day Baby Cody played with Jake, his brother Tyler and his friend Jacob.  They spent the afternoon playing with legos and Jakin’s Batman Video game.  They had such a great time.  They were sad to have to end our evening with our buddy but we will see Jacob again soon.

Saturday was a big day.  We were going to the Zoo with some good friends.  Jakin got to see birds, bats, giraffes, zebras, and a gorilla.  Jakin’s favorite animal was the gorilla because he was eating his own poop- GROSS.  That is such a boy thing!  We ate ice cream and laughed at the monkeys.  It was a very good day filled with lots and lots of walking.  At the end of the day we were all tuckered out.  Unfortunately Jakin’s mommy forgot the camera so we didn’t get any pictures of the trip.

Sunday and Monday were relaxing days.  We went to church and played more legos and video games.  Legos are Jakin and Tyler’s favorite things to do.  Jakin had a great time with Baby Cody.  Jakin’s favorite time with Baby Cody was snuggling with him at night.  Thanks for coming to visit with us!!

Sydney and Baby Cody

Baby Cody was very excited when Amelia picked Sydney’s name!  Baby Cody got to sit in car pool with Sydney and ride home with Sydney’s big sister, Chloe, and her neighbors Rylee and Jacob.  Once Rylee and Jacob were dropped off at their house it was on to the fun at Sydney’s house.  First up was playing with Sydney, Chloe, and Sydney’s dogs Duke and Aleu who Cody really liked because they were white like him, but much larger! After playing Baby Cody went to the store with Sydney and her dad so we could make tacos and quesadillas.  Baby Cody got to sit in his own chair at dinner and it was great!  After dinner we all sat down and watched the new Hannah Montana Movie.  Baby Cody laughed so hard that we had to laugh at him too!  Right after the movie Baby Cody and Sydney fell asleep on the couch so Sydney’s daddy carried them up to bed together.

After breakfast Saturday morning Baby Cody, Sydney and Chloe decided that since Sydney’s mom had to work that they were going to do arts and crafts.  They painted lots of beautiful pictures which are all over the refrigerator now!  After that they watched a little TV and then decided to go outside to ride their bikes!  Baby Cody got to sit on the front of Sydney’s bike – wow that was fun!  Sydney can ride her bike so fast.  Baby Cody even had to close his eyes once or twice!   After dinner Sydney’s mom decided it would be fun to go for a night swim in the pool since the water was very warm.  So we all put on our bathing suits and jumped in!  Baby Cody sat on the porch and watched.  The water was a little deep for him and I think he was exhausted from the busy day.  After swimming Baby Cody, Sydney, and Chloe got ready for bed.  Sydney decided she wanted her mom to read a book and picked out “A Bad Case of Stripes.”  Baby Cody liked this very much, but fell asleep during the story!

Sunday morning Baby Cody and Sydney played all kinds of games on Sydney’s laptop.  Then Sydney thought that it would be fun to take Baby Cody to one of her favorite places – the pet store!  So, Sydney, Baby Cody, Chloe and Sydney’s daddy all went to the pet store.  When they were there Baby Cody got to see all kinds of animals! And the nice lady working there even took out a puppy for Sydney to hold with Baby Cody! Baby Cody thought that he was really nice.  Sydney introduced Baby Cody to a Macaw (a parrot that can talk). Baby Cody thought this was a little weird, but was brave because Sydney even touched his feathers! After a fun trip it was time to go back home to play, eat supper and get ready for a fun week of school!

Amelia and Baby Cody

Baby Cody was very excited to go home with Amelia.  The first thing he did with Amelia was ride the school bus home.  That was super cool.  Baby Cody sat with Amelia and her best friend Elizabeth.  Elizabeth lives next door to Amelia and is in Mrs. Harte’s class.  They all watched cartoons together after they got off the bus.  Baby Cody liked SpongeBob.

It was just Amelia, Baby Cody and Mom together for dinner.  Amelia’s big sister, Rebecca, and Daddy went to a soccer tournament and Amelia’s big brother, Leonard, had a sleepover at a friend’s house.    So, Amelia picked Mexican for dinner.  It is her favorite.  She and Baby Cody ate chips with white dipping cheese and rice for dinner.  It was yummy!

We all snuggled in Mom’s bed to sleep.  Baby Cody stayed very warm all night long.

As you can see in the picture, Amelia worked on the painting for her room.  Baby Cody enjoyed watching her paint.  He likes all the neat colors.  Amelia says that Baby Cody’s favorite color is blue and that he loved the sky in her painting.

In the next picture, Amelia, Leonard and Baby Cody were eating ice cream after dinner.  Baby Cody likes vanilla ice cream with sprinkles just like Amelia.  They also put white chocolate chips on top, too.

On Sunday,  Baby Cody got to go to Sunday School with Amelia.  They had a good time.  They had a craft time, snack, story time, and play time.  Baby Cody’s favorite thing was listening to the story and of course eating snack.

Sunday afternoon we all got to rest and play around the house.  As you can see in the photo, Baby Cody watched Amelia play with  her pegs.  She is making a checker board like her big sister.  Amelia had to hold on to Baby Cody while she did the pegs so that he would not eat them all.  He thought the pegs were his snack.

Baby Cody had a great time with Amelia and he is looking forward to seeing who he gets to go home with next week.

Miss Schmidt and Baby Cody

Baby Cody went to Miss Schmidt’s house this weekend and loved it!  He got to spend time with the real Cody, whom Baby Cody is named after.  They enjoyed wrestling, eating, sleeping, and playing with Cody’s squeaky toys! 

Baby Cody also got to go on the walks with Miss Schmidt and Cody.  We visited many trails together.  Baby Cody liked walking, but was so tired from all the exercise.  He doesn’t usually get that much exercise at school with all of the kindergartners because he’s just watching them learn! 

After one walk, Miss Schmidt made pizza for dinner.  Baby Cody loved eating pizza!  He even liked all the vegetables on the pizza.  Miss Schmidt also introduced Baby Cody to chips and salsa…Miss Schmidt’s favorite!  Yum!!

Miss Schmidt’s cats even liked Baby Cody.  They actually liked Baby Cody better than the real Cody, because Baby Cody didn’t try to chase them.  Here is a picture of Sammi letting Baby Cody sit next to her while she eats.  She would never let the real Cody do that!  Grace didn’t even try to bop Baby Cody on the head!  They think that Baby Cody should live at their house instead of the real Cody, but Miss Schmidt told them no since Baby Cody has to visit with all of the other kindergartners in the class! 

Baby Cody seems excited about getting to visit a new friend’s house next weekend!  He can’t wait to do all of the fun weekend stuff with all of our friends!

 This is Baby Cody.  He is the mascot of Miss Schmidt’s Kindergarten class (wise choice, you think?).  Baby Cody lives at Ballentine Elementary until the weekends, when he gets to visit a new friend’s house!  He’s so lucky!  He gets to play with all of the friends, go to soccer games, eat yummy food, and meet lots of stuffed animal friends.  Just make sure you bring him back on Monday so that he can keep learning all of the kindergarten stuff you guys are learning!
